NorCap Investment Management, L.P., (“NorCap”) uses Cookies, web beacons, and other technologies when the user visits this website.

What Does This Mean?

NorCap’s web provider uses methods and technologies to collect and store NorCap website usage information, to assist the user in navigating the site, and to fulfill information requests.  Apps and codes can be downloaded to the device the user uses to access the website using Cookies, web beacons, embedded scripts, and other technologies. 

Cookies are text data files sent to a visitor’s computer or Internet-connected devices used to explore websites.  Cookies are used to customize a user’s visit to NorCap’s website, to analyze site access, and to collect necessary data to provide the user information.  These files identify the visitor to the website and store the settings and information in their browser so that the site can be easily accessed at a later time. The user may disable or restrict the use of cookies through their web browser.  Almost all browsers allow the removal of stored cookies or provide a warning to prevent the placing of a cookies through the user’s web browser.  The user can find more information about the management of cookies on their browser help section or equivalent.  The blocking of cookies may impede the user’s access to the NorCap site.

Web Beacons are internet tags, tracking pixels, graphic images or files that link web pages to servers and may be used to transmit information back to another server.  When the user accesses the NorCap site, or completes a contact form, web beacons are used to facilitate email messages, including tracking if the user reads the message. 

An embedded script is a programming code designed to collect information about access to the NorCap website, including links the user clicks on and the user’s browser type while the user is actively using the site.  The code is deactivated or deleted when the user leaves the NorCap website.

Any or all of these technologies, or others that perform similar functions, collect information for NorCap that can be stored for later use. This information may include the user’s IP address assigned to the device that the user uses to access the NorCap website.  This information may include the user’s type of browser, operating system, and hardware.  Usage information is usually anonymous to certain personal information, but NorCap’s third-party web vendor will collect the information in a manner that reasonably allows it to be associated with the user’s identity or is otherwise considered personal information under applicable law.   Due to ever-changing technology, the tools, codes, and apps used to collect information may change without notice.

Analytics

The NorCap website uses analytics, i.e., Google Analytics, Squarespace, or WordPress, to collect information about access to this website.  The information collected may include how often a person visits the website, the pages they access, and their login details.  This information is saved to NorCap’s web host vendor’s server in the United States.  Google’s ability to use and share information is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Website Usage Information NorCap Collects

NorCap collects information for business purposes to service the user’s requests, including when the website links the user to forms that feed to NorCap’s contact relationship or administrative providers.  NorCap does not market or sell information to third parties.   NorCap treats all personal information as private subject to the NorCap Privacy Policy.

NorCap’s third-party providers are also expected to adhere to NorCap’s Privacy Policy and are required to notify NorCap if any personal information is accessed without permission outside of the web hosting site.

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track option.” The NorCap site does not support a “Do Not Track” request at this time, however, if the user does not want certain information to be tracked or if the user lives in a state that has certain “Do Not Track” laws, i.e., the State of California, contact NorCap directly at +1 (972) 701-8813.
